Festival Wedding Photography at Gisburne Park Estate // Clitheroe
Anne Marie and Andrew’s wedding at Gisburne Park Estate was not your ordinary event. Held just after covid restrictions were fully lifted for weddings, this was an all-singing, all-dancing celebration of friends and family partying together for the first time in ages. And boy did they party! This wedding had a festival vibe and a fantastic party atmosphere. Good music was a theme throughout, and the evening was rounded off with a surprise set from one of Andy’s music heroes and world-famous DJ, Etherwood. It wasn’t difficult to get caught up in the electric atmosphere and the celebration of this fantastic and unique wedding.
A Beautiful Church Wedding at St. Mary’s Gisburn, Lancashire
St Mary’s Gisburn is just a short land rover ride up the valley to Gisburne. It was the perfect setting for the first part of this festival wedding and really set the bar for the rest of the day. Meanwhile, back in the valley, final preparations were being made by Guy and the team for the arrival of the wedding festival-goers.
Festival Wedding Reception in the Ribble Valley
The sound of live music was winding through the valley as the wedding revelers meandered down the track, under the string lights towards the tipis, flags, gin bar, fire pit, and ancient woodland on the banks of the River Ribble. After a couple of live music acts which got everyone in the party spirit (if they weren’t already), it was time for some brilliant speeches and food.
We were treated to some beautiful evening light before the sun dipped behind the hills and the venue took on a life of its own with the sounds of laughter, music together with the lights and fire pits, I don’t know how this evening reception could have been more perfect. The dance floor was full from start to finish. All in all a brilliant day with a fantastic bunch of people.
Also, I should probably point out that this is a really beautiful part of the world. As a family, we go walking and swimming in the river not far from here. It’s well worth a visit. Oh and at the top of the lane near to the entrance to Gisburne Park, there’s a fantastic bakery that does really nice coffee too!
Congratulations to Anne-Marie and Andrew and thanks so much for having me along as your Gisburne Park Wedding Photographer.
