High Barn Wedding Photography // Edenhall Estate // Lake District
Sometimes when I talk to a couple ahead of their wedding, I get a feeling that the day they are planning is going to be something a little bit special. And more than sometimes, it’s not really about the venue, the flowers or even the weather. Although it always helps to have an outdoor wedding at
rustic barn venue in the Lake District with cracking views and clear evening skies!
When it comes down to it, weddings are about being in love and celebrating love. When people do things with love, nothing can ever go wrong or be out of place. It is what it is, because two hearts have conspired to create a day with love for people they love. They have poured their hearts and personalities into creating an occasion that totally reflects them as a couple. From the beer that was on offer, to the music that way played, it was their day and there will never be another one like it.
The High Barn at Edenhall Estate is situated in the English Lake District. It’s not far from Penrith. So in summary, it’s in the middle of nowhere. Its grounds are well looked after, but managed in a way that retains a natural wildness that suits the area and adds to the rustic whimsical charm of the place.
This wedding was a joy to photograph. Congratulations to Ben and Clair for creating such a brilliant wedding day. Thank you for your enthusiastic cooperation and for providing the food, cake and beer needed to fuel my creativity!
