The Chow Family

I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Carmen and Rob a few years ago at the magnificent Capesthorne Hall and was really pleased to hear they had a new addition to their family. Due to the huge reduction in weddings this year I’ve been shooting a few more families than usual. Having a family shoot is a great way of capturing a moment in time whilst the kids are young. They grow up so fast! And in our current situation, there are many family members missing out on seeing the little ones grow. So having a photoshoot is a great way of sharing these moments. This was certainly true for this family as Freddie was born during lockdown. I hope that these memories will go some way to filling those gaps for those family memebers who weren’t able to see Freddie in person in the first few months of his time on Earth.

My family shoots aim to capture the personality of the family naturally in a short period of time, usually an hour or so. And whilst all of the images aren’t posed, the shoot is fully structured and directed in order to achieve the best images possible in any given lighting situation.
