Linthwaite House Wedding Photography // Lake District
This was my first time as a Linthwaite House wedding photographer and the weather couldn’t have been better as I travelled up the M6 ahead of Gemma and Will#s big day. Linthwaite is a truly beautiful setting overlooking the southern end of Lake Windermere. But one of the most remarkable things about the very beautiful wedding of Gemma and Will at Linthwaite House, is that Will, along with his best man Jerry, walked to the wedding from Will’s home in Ilkley, raising more than £15,000 for Ian Botham’s charity, Beefy’s Charity Foundation. It must also be noted that they did this dressed as Willy Wonka and an Oompa Loompa! as the family business is chocolate! You can see a photo here: https://www.whitakerschocolates.com/walking-dales-dressed-willy-wonka/
Linthwaite house has undergone a huge transformation over the past year and this was the last wedding before the refurbishment. I have to say though, it was quite brilliant the way it was, so I can’t wait to see the new-look venue.
Not sure if there’s another venue in the lake district with better views than this place. Unless you count a boat on the lake a venue, you can check that wedding out here.
Here’s a selection of my favourite images from the day 🙂
Please do get in touch if you’re interested in Linthwaite House wedding photography, I’d love to hear from you!
Or if you liked the views from this venue, then check out the views from Benil and Will’s wedding at Chateau de Castellaras.
