Amy and Steven’s Idyllic Summer Barn Wedding at Hyde Bank Farm in Cheshire
I would like to say a massive thank you to Steve and Amy for hiring me for their Hyde Bank Farm Wedding Photography. It was a perfect summer day, made all the better by a lovely and very happy couple, a wonderfully rural and rustic venue, and a top-notch crowd who were up for a party.
Farm weddings are on the rise and the sheep and pigs are in danger of getting booted out to make room for a bigger marquee! Farms can be brilliant venues for weddings, particularly for laid-back couples, who want to do away with some of the stuffy formality historically associated with weddings. Hyde Bank Farm has some beautiful interior spaces for weddings as well as great gardens and lawns which provide areas for children to run around and for older children (adults) to join in.
Hyde Bank Farm – A Wedding Photographer’s Perspective
Any farm can be a cracking place for a wedding, and particularly so if you can find some good light. I love to search out rustic and rural backdrops to bring context to the photos and look for interesting textures. I’m not looking for perfectly clean backgrounds, but something with character. Perfection in imperfection. Many farms have great barn spaces for indoor wedding ceremonies and great outdoor spaces for those who want to get married outdoors.
Farm and Barn Weddings
Having a barn or farm wedding location can be the foundation for creating a modern and relaxed rustic wedding. With more and more couples these days trying to create an informal and fun vibe, a farm wedding venue can provide bags of rustic charm and beauty.
