This summer I travelled to the garden of England to shoot some wedding photography at Chapel Down Winery. The grooms for this same sex wedding were Keye and James who had planned a party or epic proportions at the Kentish vineyard.

Chapel Down Wedding Photography // The stuff of Legend

They both got ready at Elvey Farm Country House Hotel and travelled over to Chapel Down in the morning. So naturally the party started as soon as they arrived! The venue was transformed and beautifully dressed by Rachael and her team from Hire Love. With everything from a coconut shy to people on stilts, smoke bombs, mad scientists and much more this wedding was about to get real and surely go down in the history of all weddings ever to take place at Chapel Down.

An Outdoor Vineyard Wedding

The wedding itself took place outside in the herb garden and the weather was brilliant. It was a lovely ceremony with many heartfelt words as well as an owl ring bearer.
Keye and James were welcomed into the reception area by smoke bomb bearing giants and the opening theme music from Game of Thrones. It was a truly amazing garden party. You really need to see the photos as my words probably don’t do it justice.
After the wedding breakfast in the restaurant, speeches took place in the gardens. There was a small amount of time for a couple of portraits before music started and the dj kicked off the evening’s dancing.
