Meols Hall Wedding Photography
If there’s a wedding venue that feels like a home from home, this is it. I’ve photographed more than a handful of weddings at Meols Hall every year for the past 10 years. The place is like a little piece of history nestled away in a lovely corner of Southport called Churchtown. I drive past it every day and could walk to weddings there from my house. I did once actually. Churchtown has some awesome little pubs, bars and cafes and is a place I spend a lot of my spare time. With previous weddings in Cornwall, the Lake District, South Shields, Bangkok, and France, it made a very nice change to pop down to Meols Hall to photograph the wedding of Sophie and Joe. Great to see the staff at Meols Hall too who were very welcoming and made the wedding day run like clockwork as usual.
Sophie and Joe got ready for their wedding at the Vincent Hotel on Lord Street in Southport. They were transported to the venue by our good friends Steve and Laura from the best wedding transport provider 2107 (The Wedding Industry Awards), Churchtown Wedding Cars.
It was a gorgeous, bright and vibrant wedding. Smiley face with hearts for eyes etc. Oh yes, it was also the day of the royal wedding. (Needed to mention that so the first photo makes sense!) The light was incredible, as you’ll see from the photos. And even inside the barn, there were beautiful patches of light during the speeches. Fortunately, the sun was still just above the tree line as we ventured out to shoot some relaxed portraits in the evening.
