Old Marylebone Town Hall and the Elgin // London

Wedding Photography at Old Marylebone town Hall

Beejal and Chris were married at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London and had their reception at The Elgin, Maida Vale. This is a part of town that I’ve been to several times in the past few years whilst hosting my flash photography workshops. And it’s a part of London with many fond memories for Beejal and Chris.

Old Marleybone Town Hall is a favourite for modern couples looking for a stylish central London wedding venue. It was well placed for Beejal to get ready at the stunning Landmark Hotel just across the road. The wedding was an intimage celebration with their closest freinds and Family and a chance for them to have a relaxed and informal wedding that reflected them as a couple. It was a brilliantly fun and lovely day and it was a real pleasure to be involved. I kind of got carried away with the occasion and had to remind myself that I was there to take photos, and not to party!

But this was only the first part of a weekend of celebration. The day after sampling the very nice IPAs on offer at the Elgin we were off to Hedsor House, a short drive west of London, in Buckinghamshire. This was a bigger party and a fantastic Hindu Celebration for Beejal and Chris. I’ve been to Hedsor HouseĀ  a few times and I’m always awed by the place. It’s simply stunning inside and out. (I find the word ‘stunning’ a little over used in wedding circles and evey time I hear it I think of star trek “set phasers to stun”. I digress… again, but at least the word count has gone up:))

A Hindu Wedding at Hedsor House

Anyway. Day 2. Set to stun.

This was a day full of love, symbolism, colour and much fun. A real coming together of two families and a sealing of the deal for Beejal and Chris. It was very special and I was made to feel at home and welcomed into the family. So thank you Beejal and Chris from the bottom of my heart for asking me to be your wedding photographer. May you live long and prosper.
