The Casa de Laila is situated in the hills north of Fuengirola near the town of Alhaurin el Grande in Southern Spain. It’s a unique and unspoilt place with a green ethos and a tonnes of rustic charm. The weather was hot but that was fine because the pace was slow. Morgane and Doug had planned a chilled out morning with close friends and family and spent time together preparing for the arrival of their guests.
The Casa de Laila resort hosts a lot of retreats and has rooms in the house as well as tents and hammocks dotted around the estate. It’s one of those places that is difficult to leave. The Casa de Laila is managed in such a way that holds tight to the whole ethos of relaxed living and a healthy lifestyle. The guests are given individual attention and are extremely well looked after.
The humanist wedding ceremony took place in the early evening on a patch of grass next to the hand-built yoga ‘shala’ looking to the horizon and the mountains of the Sierra de las Nieves. Following the wedding ceremony drinks were consumed and home-made canapes were eaten. (Very nice too, thanks Ben!)
Speeches followed on the grass as the sun set over the mountains and then dinner was served. More speeches, music and dancing followed and the party went on into the night on that little patch of grass nestled in the hills.
knocking it out of the park bro. killer work!
