East Riddlesden Hall Wedding Photographer // Yorkshire
I had been really looking forward shooting some East Riddlesden Hall wedding photography since I met Erin and David for a fancy coffee at the Hilton in Liverpool earlier in the year. They had planned every detail of the day and I knew that this was going to be a fantastic day at a stunning Yorkshire wedding venue. East Riddlesden Hall is a big old historic hall with some really great barns and gardens to add maximum rustic charm.
A rustic summer festival styled wedding in Keighley
East Riddlesden Hall is a National Trust property situated in near Keighley in the West Riding of Yorkshire, an area famous for its brilliant wedding venue, East Riddlesden Hall, amongst other things (such as mills, steam trains, Yorkshire tea and old men with flat caps). It’s pronounced Keith-Lee just in case you were wondering.
Anyway, Erin and David were married in the Airedale Barn at the venue, which is an absolutely brilliant barn space, with some beautiful light provided by the big glass doors where the old barn doors used to be. It’s a space that can be tailored to suit weddings of any style and size without any trouble. The wedding was a really lovely occasion full of emotion and joy. Afterwards, there was a great party atmosphere with a festival vibe as the wedding guests spilled out on to the grassy areas for some garden games.
Wedding Photography at East Riddlesden Hall
As a photographer with a more informal approach, I absolutely love barn weddings in the summer, especially when there’s great light and lots of outdoor space. This venue has it all and I’m so grateful to Erin and David for asking me to photograph their day. Whilst the venue is open to the public, once it closed for the day we had the opportunity to explore the gardens without the crowds and we were blessed with some lovely evening light before it was back to the barn for the cutting of the cake and the first dance.
I have tons of detail shots from this wedding that could almost fill another blog post, everything was so well put together and in keeping with the theme. I’m sure Erin could start a new line of business as a wedding planner!
so without further keyword waffle, here are some photographs from a brilliant day in Keighley.
