Stubton Hall Wedding Photographer // Jenny and Toby

This was my first time as a Stubton Hall Wedding Photographer. The rumours were true, the light in this stunning wedding venue is incredible. Check out these photos from the wedding of Jenny and Toby back in July.

Wedding Photography at Stubton Hall

Stubton Hall is a 19th Century Listed building located near Newark, on the border of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. It’s quite rightly listed by Brides Magazine in the 100 Best Wedding Venues in the World.

Jenny and Toby had planned a relaxed and fun yet elegant wedding with a church ceremony and the reception at Stubton Hall. Before leaving the venue for the church the Groom (Toby), his best man and ushers had photographs in the Chocolate Bar. Meanwhile the Bride (Jenny) and her bridesmaids got ready upstairs. With Jenny’s wedding dress hanging on the four poster bed, three big windows and so much going on, there were so many great photos to be made.  Whilst on the surface the girls appeared quite calm, there was certainly a quiet hum of excitement in the air. Jenny and her Mum and bridesmaids jumped in the Rolls Royce and were whisked off to the church.

The marriage service was great and presided over by an accommodating vicar who understood that the bride and groom would certainly want some great photos of this important part of the day. As usual I turned on stealth mode and was ninja like in my approach.

A Stubton Hall Wedding Reception

Back at Stubton Hall the sun was shining and the guests had a great time in the gardens of the venue before it was off to the orangery for speeches and the wedding breakfast. This Stubton Hall Wedding Photographer was in his element. Beautiful big windows everywhere 🙂

After the wedding breakfast the sun was still shining so we went for a wander in the grounds and made the most of it. It’s not too common to get great light at the right time of day but we got lucky. Soon after this and as the sun was setting Jenny and Toby cut their cake and took to the dance floor for their first dance, and the celebrations continued into the night.

From a photography point of view and as a human being in witness, this wedding was an absolute joy. Jenny and Toby and their friends and family were great all day and a pleasure to photograph. I wish them all the very best for the future. I hope that I’ll have the pleasure of photographing another wedding at Stubton Hall soon.
