Tithe Barn Wedding- When Liverpool met Scotland.
Some days everything just fits together. This was one of those days. I knew when I first met Nikki and Peter that their wedding was going to be something special. For me it has less to do with the location, the weather or the details, but has everything to do with the people involved. But more than this they day was planned to reflect them as people, with one or two Scottish wedding traditions including kilts, a piper and a scramble for the bairns. There was also unique mix of decorations with the table plan containing a photograph of each guest. Nikki and the bridesmaids arrived in a VW camper van which fitted in perfectly with the rustic boho chic styling of the day.
Weddings at Meols Hall
This is a stunning venue with as much rustic charm as it is possible to have. It’s privately owned and the family still lives on the estate some of the time. So it’s not been commercialised in any way and still retains the things which have made it popular as a wedding venue for many years. It’s like a blank canvas for anyone who wants to put their own stamp on it.
As a photographer it has so many great features and a good mixture of buildings and countryside, from the main hall to the wild grass, bluebells (at the right time of year), country tracks and patches of woodland. In fact, for Wedding Photography, you’re spoilt for choice. There are hundreds of potential portrait locations. So as a photographer the only frustration is that you just don’t have time to use them all!
Anyway, enough of my jibber jabber, here’s a selection of Photography from Nikki and Peter’s day.
